How To Remove Stretch Marks On Back?

A stretch mark is a form of scar mostly caused due to rapid growth or expansion of the body skin. The middle layer of the skin ‘dermis’ get torn and it appears reddish during initial stages of development. Stretch marks can occur in several regions of the body including thighs, abdomen hips and the back of body. Men suffer from stretch marks on back badly than women. They occur during teenage when the skin cells are rapidly replicating.

CAUSES OF STRETCH MARKS ON BACK:

Marfan Syndrome:

It is a genetic disease that can cause marks on any part of the body. It affects the connective tissues hampering the development process. The patients can develop stretch marks at any part of body even without rapid body growth.

Melanin Connection:

It is proposed that the skin stretches and affects melanin during the younger years. This in turn damages the elastin and collagen tissues causing the veins to dilate. It causes thinning and stretching of the skin.

Glucocorticoid Hormones:

When the body produces Glucocorticoid hormone more than the required number, it hinders the development of fibroblast collagen and elastin fibers. These fibers are responsible for making the skin taut as one grows. It would result in ugly-looking lines in the end.

Predisposing the Body:

When your body gets stretched beyond a certain limit, the scars start appearing as a result of it.

Prevention:

Women can prevent stretch marks on back by using one or combination of the following methods.

Treatment:

The treatment using radio-frequency laser treatment of suitable wavelength or using fractional resurfacing laser.

Using Oils and Creams:

Frequent usage of oils and creams containing vitamins E and Aloe Vera as some of its ingredients rejuvenates the skin. Vitamins E would nourish the skin and encourage proper development of skin-cells. The collagen and elastin fibers develop properly making the supportive tissues strong to prevent tearing.

Losing Weight and Eating Balanced Diet:

Eating fruits and vegetables help in the development of skin. They supply antioxidants that heal the skin from inside. Water helps to moisturize it and flushes harmful substances from the body.
